I have always been interested in Tiger Rugs in the Tibetan Tradition & finally was able to purchase a copy of The Tiger Rugs of Tibet by Mimi Lipton.  This fantastic collection of over 100 images of tiger rug designs, published by Thames & Hudson, 1988 is now out in paperback! This series was inspired by The Tiger Rugs of Tibet book.  Striving for an organic and richly textured appearance, as a rug might have, I utilized glass powder, both dry and in a gooey liquid medium to create the glass rug designs.
